A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 826 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Park
It follows the line of the Ashton, Stalybridge and Liverpool Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the LNWR Droylsden to Denton Line...via Audenshaw LNWR
It then follows the line of the Stalybridge Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the LNWR Micklehurst Loop Line
It then follows the line of the LNWR Manchester to Leeds Line
It then follows the line of the Manchester and Leeds Railway
It then follows the line of the North Midland Railway...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the MR Erewash Valley Line
It then follows the line of the MR Pye Bridge to Kirkby-in-Ashfield East Line...via judicious use of avoiding lines en route
It then follows the line of the MR Worksop to Mansfield Line...link line only, no closed stations
It then follows the line of the MR Mansfield to Southwell Line
It then follows the line of the MR Nottingham to Lincoln Line
It then follows the line of the Lincolnshire Loop Line
It then follows the line of the M&GNJR Spalding to Sutton Bridge Line
It then follows the line of the Peterborough, Wisbech and Sutton Bridge Railway
It then follows the line of the Great Northern Railway Main Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Three Counties

The first closed station on this journey is Park

I'm in a quandary here -- see at least three alternatives, and don't know which (if any !) is most likely to be right. (Have no doubt that the fault lies with my cluelessness, not with the preamble.) For the moment I am, in cowardly fashion, hoping that someone else might take the plunge...

Will take a stab at it -- Horbury & Ossett (2nd station). Now going (early) to bed !
