HOLD CALLED

The LNWR Friezland loop line does not form part of this journey as described in the journey preamble.
Oh no, playing follow my leader with Calthrop again

Oh, dear - -I'm not doing well with preambles these days. Sackcloth and ashes duly donned, and Upper Mill struck out.

I'm honestly bewildered at present (blaming only self, and own stupidity) -- think it best to hold off for a little while.

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England

INFORMATION

Whilst that station was indeed situated next to the main running lines of the Huddersfield and Manchester Railway, it did not serve any services on that line. It was a station of the "Delph Donkey" line which, for a short stretch ran in parallel in the Greenfield area, with its line then heading away to Delph in one direction and then heading away to the Oldham area in another direction, via Lees.

I’ll blame Wikipedia for this mishap
