Panteg and Griffithstown

Sorry - wrong line for a second there! Panteg and Griffithstown was on the Eastern Valleys Line of the Monmouthshire Railways & Canal Co and was open from 1880 to 1962. The Wikipedia template is misleading here, I think. The original Panteg station was on the Pontypool, Caerleon and Newport Railway and was open from 1874 (I think) to some time between 1884 and 1901.

Concerning "sins of omission" of mine: Dewick's atlas marks a number of halts on this stretch, as "(miners)". I thought that that disqualified them, from our point of view -- seems that I thought wrongly -- apologies.
