Noting the presence of Carlisle (London Road) on a spur to the north and then traversing the east to south chord from London Road Junction to Upperby Junction we get to:

Not sure how we would get directly from Low Gill to Ingleton - and in any case I think the itinerary implies continuing down the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway to Lancaster before diverging to the "Little North Western" there. In which case:

Low Gill (1st station)

is followed by:

Grayrigg (2nd station - 1861 to 1954)

Carnforth (Lancaster and Carlisle Railway)

Grayrigg (1st station) is shown as preceding the 2nd station on the Wikipedia line template.

Yes it does - but I think it's incorrect. In the Wikipedia description of the station the first station is stated as being "two miles west" (which suits the geography) and closed in 1849. Unsurprisingly neither station is shown on OS maps of 1860 so I don't have independent confirmation of that.

Until actual independent clarification is forthcoming, noting queries raised on the same matter last year with Wikipedia editors which received an answer that their panel would not amend the order of the 1st and 2nd stations shown on the line template, we will continue to use the Wikipedia line template as being the correct one.

Sorry, but as those main line platforms remain part of the station area of the currently open station, it has always been politic not to allow such postings as that above on this quiz.

Actually they don't - see the following image which clearly shows that they are fenced off and have no platform tracks. Anyhow if Carnforth doesn't count then:
