Earlier on mention was made about two stations at Tattenhall. I wonder if two very close stations on different lines can be the cause of some confusion.

1)...Tattenhall station (Whitchurch and Tattenhall Railway)
Opened 1st October 1872
Closed 16th September 1957.

2)...Tattenhall Road station (Chester and Crewe Railway)
Opened 1st October 1840
Closed 18th April 1962.
