We have just entered upon the end part of the route of the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway with just two closed stations upon it after leaving the City of Glasgow Union Railway, then we shall be accessing the well-known Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway after that, where your last named station of Dullatur is indeed the first closed station that we shall meet on that particular line. HINT...Maryhill is the open station before we meet the two closed stations that are stated above. Remember that the Stobcross railway assumed a new lease of life when it was conjoined with the City of Glasgow Union Railway.

That will teach me to sneak into my study to make some postings on RailUK whilst I was supposed to be checking which of my short-sleeve shirts that Patricia wanted to pack. Indeed, Jock's Lodge is a short-lived station at the start of the route, in the position to which you most correctly refer, but such was my stealth, I did not look carefully enough on my hard-copy draft....
