The last time we came down this way, p.341,#5110, you thought the short-lived station of Laira came between Laira Halt and Lipson Vale Halt!!!

One learns not to look at hand-produced "helpful" line sketches given to you years ago, but to double-check such information...:oops

The actual order is:-
Plympton
Laira Green Halt (1904-1930)....note the full station title
Laira (1848-1849)
Lipson Vale Halt

Tamerton Foliot is the final closed station on this journey.

We now move into West Yorkshire for the next journey...

This quiz is number 109 so far...

The journey starts at the CLOSED station of Queensbury
It follows the line of the Halifax and Ovenden Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the LYR Halifax to Sowerby Bridge line
It then follows the line of the Manchester and Leeds Railway
It then follows the line of the LYR Copy Pit line
It then follows the line of the East Lancashire Line...Using the Gt Harwood loop line
It then follows the line of the Lancashire Union Railway
It then follows the line of LNWR Wigan North Western to Eccles line
It then follows the line of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway
It then follows the line of the Ashton, Stalybridge and Liverpool Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Huddersfield and Manchester Railway
It then follows the line of the Delph Donkey (part-route only from Greenfield)
It then follows the line of the Oldham, Ashton and Guide Bridge Railway
It then follows the line of the Fallowfield Loop Line.
The journey ends at the CLOSED station of Manchester Central

The first closed station on this journey is Queensbury
