We now move up to the northern part of England for the next journey....
This quiz is number 50 so far....and free from any heritage railways to the best of my knowledge.
The journey starts at the open station of Bishop Auckland
It follows the line of the Tess Valley line
It then follows the line of the Whitby, Redcar and Middlesbrough Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Scarborough and Whitby Railway
It then follows the line of the Yorkshire Coast line
It then follows the line of the York to Beverley line
It then follows the line of the York and North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the Melbourne line
It then follows the line of the Burton on Trent to Leicester line
The journey ends at the open station of Leicester
The first closed station on this journey is Newport......closed in 1915.
