Yes, I had not updated my records on that one. It is a similar situation in the Liverpool area where the closed station of Allerton is now known as Liverpool South Parkway.

BTW - I think Leicester Campbell Street became Leicester London Road became plain Leicester - so isn't closed

Congratulations on naming the final station....which I had down as Rugby Wharf Halt.

With regard to Leicester Campbell Street, which was opened in 1840, this was originally used as the headquaters offices of the Midland Counties Railway, in rooms above this railway station, until the amalgamation occurred in 1844 leading to the formation of the Midland Railway. Platforms were increased in 1858 and in 1868. It was not until 1890 that a new station was commissioned (Leicester London Road) and designed by Charles Trubshaw, which had its main entrance on London Road, with some of the new station platforms on part of the old site and in 1892, when the new booking office was completed, the name was changed. However, not all the new station was fully completed until 1894.

It follows the line of the Aberystwyth and Welsh Coast Railway.
It then follows the line of the Ruabon to Barmouth line.
It then follows the line of the Shrewsbury to Chester line
It then follows the line of the Welsh Marches line/
The journey ends at the open station of Newport

The first closed station on this journey is Bow Street
