PERSONAL NEWS TO RELATE

My good lady wife Patricia, now aged 78 and in the early stages of a dementia-type affliction fell on the rear patio on Monday, 2nd March, striking her face on the paved area, rendering her unconcious. A team of paramedic staff attended in an ambulance with a doctor in a car and she was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital where she still is after 10 days. The facial abrasions and bruising have now diminished somewhat. The reason why I am offline for most of the day is because visiting hours on the ward F4 she is on run from 1100 to 2000. I still await news of when she will be returning home.

That station was situated on the Garnkirk and Glasgow Railway line to Coatbridge, whereas we are on the Caledonian Railway man line on this leg of this journey.

That station was situated on the line of the Wilsontown, Morningside and Coltness Railway, whereas we are currently on the line of the Caledonian Railway main line on this leg of the journey

We often seem to have regular interesting deviations in mind when passing along this particular section of the Caledonian Railway main line.

That station (Holytown 1st) was situated on the line of the Wilsontown, Morningside and Coltness Railway, whereas we are currently on the line of the Caledonian Railway main line on this leg of the journey

@Spamcan81 has a point here - it appears that there was indeed a Holytown station on the Caledonian Main Line, about 200 yards south of the later station of Mossend. The first Holytown station closed in 1882 when Mossend opened. The current Holytown station is on the W,M&CR.
