A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Just to confirm that we are now about to leave the Mid-Wales Railway and to take the line of the Brecon and Merthyr Junction Railway.

The last time we traversed that next line, there was some discussion in relation to the Bargoed area lines and I am unsure if an agreement was ever reached.

The discussion was about connections from the B&MJR to adjoining routes, and particularly between the Merthyr, Tredegar and Abergavenny Railway and the LNWR/B&MJR joint line to Merthyr, I think. So it doesn't affect us this time. However I do note that the Wikipedia template for the MT&A is still incorrect in the area around Dowlais. It should correspond with the B&MJR template.

Bargoed Colliery Halt

NOTE: The closed station of Aberbargoed is incorrectly positioned on the Wikipedia template. It is shown on this line but was actually on the B&MJR branch to Rhymney. Sorry - this is the point which our leader asked about earlier, but I misread his note.
