I was idly wondering how the previous station got either of its names - it's a good eight miles from the Tay and I can't see the name Washington anywhere near on any map. In fact in 1861 (the earliest map I can find) there was nothing but open fields between Ardler Junction and Ardler station, where Washington station must have been. I think I will have to go on wondering!
