INFORMATION

The first station at Waverton was only known for a period of two years by the name of Black Dog from 1st October 1840 to 1842. It was then renamed and from 1842 to its closure in 1898, it was known as Waverton.

Either names are acceptable on this thread, but since Waverton had closed stations on two different sites, it is requested that the difference between 1st and 2nd sites are added to posting submissions, which was correctly done in this posting.
