Pathetic. A toilet is a toilet. How hard can it be. Meanwhile use another 810
Do you know what exactly the issue is or whether it affects one unit or all of them? Do you know what the fix is and how long it takes? And would you be satisfied to see a faulty unit put into service on its first day? :s

According to this source the issue affects the whole fleet...and has been a headache for months.

According to sources at EMR, the problem has been ongoing for months, leaving everyone scratching their heads.
Also it seems they believe the first Saturday diagram was due to commence Saturday 29th with the 8:50 Nottingham to St Pancras

If things work out as planned (!) 29 November will see the first Saturday 810 diagram introduced, starting with the 08.50 Nottingham to St.Pancras.

From what I’ve heard, priority is to replace 7 car Meridian diagrams first so quite likely. As always though, we wait and see
Assume this is with 10 car 810s? Surely not just 5 cars?

Considering a 5 car 810 has more capacity than a 7 car 222 (in standard class), it should be okay. A 10 car 810 will be even better once it's possible

Sadly this will be with 5 cars from what I’ve been told. As mentioned above a 5 car 810 just has less FC seating to a 7 car 222, but more standard seating.

Just a gentle reminder that this thread is to discuss Class 810 diagrams. For anything else Class 810 related such as the number of seats, please use this thread:

Pulled from service after 1F32. 1C59 starts at Derby with 222004.

So so far it looks like 810010 will manage its full diagram today (fingers crossed). But do we have any idea what's happening on Saturday and Sunday?

I'm wondering if maybe there will be no 810s at the weekend due to (say) the availability of the Hitachi travelling engineers who've apparently been trying to fix issues on the move, or due to the availability of 810 trained drivers etc.

There are traincrew and rolling stock diagrams in place for weekends which I have, but with engineering works (Erewash diverts) happening I can't guarantee they'll be correct for this weekend

Talking of hoping, I hope that 1D53 1535 St. Pancras International to Nottingham will be an 810 tomorrow (Sat 6/12/25) as that would be the only one I'd be able to catch with what else I'm doing on the day. Any chance at all?

Don't be surprised if it's a 222

Pure guesswork based on planned platforms, but if an 810 starts off as 1C17 0732 Derby** to St Pancras International then it looks like it might be just shuttling between Derby and St. Pancras at least until teatime. I would definitely not get your hopes up.

** 1C17 has been an 810 for the last few days, on Saturday it's starting from Derby instead of Sheffield due to Ambergate junction to Clay Cross being closed.

Edit: Completely wrong! 810010 is shuttling between London and Nottingham today, including operating 1D53, see diagram below.

I'll share the usual 810 Saturday diagram just for reference, but I do believe (as an educated guess) it will be a 222 tomorrow

tfw756rider, you are right in thinking the journey you linked should be an 810, but whether it actually will be remains to be seen when allocations come out

Cheers - I'll expect it to not be, but if it is, it would be a nice surprise :)

Incoming service which makes up yours left Nottingham 40 minutes late (sadly due to person hit by train earlier today), it's currently due in around 1535 so even if it makes up a little time the 1535 will surely be late leaving St. Pancras.

Yes indeed, departed St. Pancras 13 minutes late but was 31 minutes late into Nottingham due to having to fit in around on-time services. I've posted about my experience.

Any ideas about diagram 3?
As an uninformed observer, with the 2 remaining 7-car Cl222 the next to leave, and EMR will obviously need to avoid diagrams that split/join, then I think what's most likely is replacing workings that 222003/004 have been doing over the past few days. You can do that here:
