810011 is booked on DY701 today which will be the 4th unit accepted into passenger service according to rtt. Hopefully no more last minute swaps!
It looks as though it's just been swapped-out on RTT for 222004.

Hi, Does anyone know if there's likely to be than one 810 unit running tomorrow? Or is it just roll your lucky dice and keep your eyes on RTT? Hoping to explore the East Midlands Trains ticket trial and go on one around Leicester, Derby, Nottingham tomorrow is all

When they're out, they'll be on specific diagrams which are in the link below

You can also check realtimetrains, but just be mindful that although allocations come out at around 1am swaps do happen and it's not completely accurate until around 5/6am when the trains start leaving the depot. Today for example, a diagram is subbed for a 222 at late notice and last week 222s were sent to take over during the day

Looks like 810011 might actually be going into service filling in for broken down 012 on DY702, there shouldn’t be another swap this time.
And RTT is now showing STP-SHF at 13:02 (1F40) as being operated by the pair of them.

That's incorrect, it's 012 being replaced by 011 on the diagram (if they get it worning!) but the allocation not being properly updated

That sounds like the data feed issue where the replacement unit is allocated before the original one is unallocated.

Two trains currently running under headcode 5F15. 810012 running back to Etches Park and the stock to replace it now (rumoured to be 011 - sitting at Derby. Headcode has actually changed to 1F15. But I can't see it going to Sheffield more than 30 min late. So most likely to resume the diagram forming 1C38 but starting from Derby.
Problem with 012 reported as brake fault / wheel flat.
Worst time of year to introduce new trains - winter. Did no-one learn from the APT?

Or, as has been explained many times in these threads (when people say there will be an 18 car Azuma etc), that the allocation swap has been done perfectly correctly by the relevant TOC, but the data which feeds RTT often lags behind and shows incorrect formations for a while until
It sorts it self out.

810012 has just gone crawling past me northbound at Syston as 5F15, although there is some other disruption in the area (points failure) which probably also is a cause of the slow running.

Looks like more door issues with 81012 today, 1F15 cut off at St Pancras and 810011 takes over at Derby (Although RTT says Ambergate Jn for some reason...) 012 has also returned to Etches under 5F15.

Door fault seems more likely as it ran e.c.s. back to Derby at line speed.
With 012 it was a brake issues which cancelled the service out of London. The replacement unit 011 had door issues which caused a late departure from Derby

So with four units now prepared for passenger service - still struggling to fulfill two full diagrams per day. Are we still in the soft launch period now?

Just the usual rtt glitch, it’s official our 4th unit (011) is accepted into service. Hopefully 013 will be ready soon.

RTT records a VST 3Z02 Kettering Stabling Sidings to Etches Park this afternoon - there was an 810, I think 006, in the e.m.u., sidings there yesterday.
It's timed at 56 mph max - is this a quirk of train planning or RTT mph -> kph conversion, or a result of a defect - perhaps wheel flats?>

Just seen a few things:

1) It appears that driver training has restarted as 810008 ran 3A23/4/5/6
2) 810008 then ran 3Z01 to Kettering (Timetable says kettering, presuming the service did however go into Kettering Sidings
3) 810006 has already moved from Kettering back to Derby, so whether it was there to get more room in Etches to move 008 out, I don't know
4) I just watched DestinationTrainsPlanes' video from Derby today, in which 810008's departure was seen. The unit seemed to have had a bit of a touch-up on the paints and stickers on the outside of the unit, so whether that has been carried over to the inside too and whether 009 is also going through this process, or maybe I'm just imagining it and nothing has actually happened, I'm not too sure, but maybe it is that 008 and 009 have been able to be brought up to passenger standards at Etches.

05:49 NOT-STP has departed 14 late from Nottingham with 011. Reason for delay is being investigated. At least it on the the move now so hopefully nothing seriously wrong with the unit.
