Do we know when a forth diagram will be introduced?

It probably needs some more in service first since, unless there are some more obvious 'out and back' diagrams to switch over it is likely that two diagrams will have to be introduced at a time. 10 units from 10 (003-012 in service) isn't going to work.

Diagram 2 was running this morning; I honestly overslept this morning and had to catch a later train in and it was this set - 707004 (London end) and 707011 (Country end) were the two units running today.

And my word, ye gods, what a terrible auto announcer these things have!!! Intonation all over the place, random gaps in sentences, and soforth. I guess that logistically it's easier to have a completely computer generated voice than have a voice artist in the studio to record, but I'd have thought it would be better than it was.

Desiros CIS gets the hiccups especially if it's on a super stopper, like some of the early ones off of London, which call at >90% of the stations to Portsmouth or Weymouth! It'll get to somewhere like Woking and then do a very long pause, go on a few more stations and then do another pause before completing it, admittedly it does get better as the journey progresses, but it's a pee poor system that could do with a serious upgrade now.

Be careful what you wish for. The system on the 707s is meant to a modern, all singing, all dancing system, but I've heard nothing but bad things so far. In my experience it has been pretty naff whenever I've been on a 707.

It can't be any worse than a 450 which announced that it was going to Portsmouth Harbour calling at Guildford (pause), Haslemere, Godalming, Guildford, Haslemere, Havant, Petersfield, Fratton & Portsmouth Harbour. Talk about addled!

Have you heard the text to speech announcer on the 707s though? TTS systems are well known for their odd intonation but the system on the 707s is about as bad as I've encountered. The system at places like Kings Cross underground station may sound odd but they are far easier to understand in a noisy environment. I don't really understand why this example is as bad as it is.

It sometimes seems like the Desiros get totally distracted on the stoppers.
"Calling at A, B, C, D, E (Did I leave the oven on? Did I lock my door? Nice trees here... Oh, oops...) F, G, H"

It also seems to get more excited at Petersfield? I might be imagining it, but it seems to speed up and yell that this is Petersfield, we're going to Waterloo and that the next stop will be Haslemere

2U07 (10/707) has been pined at Staines. Door issues the reason supplied.

Looks like the 16.37 Waterloo > Waterloo has failed before departure. Destination screen on the front just has 'in test' displayed.

Quoted for the benefit of @AverageTD :)

So if all goes well then, this should be the state of play tomorrow.

It’s been a month since the last delivery. Surely there must be another pair due soon? At this rate all 30 units won’t be in service until the end of 2018!!

707026 and 707027 reported elsewhere to have been delivered to Clapham Yard on Friday.

So that makes 18 out of 30 units delivered by my calculations

707001-707014 plus 707026-707029

Only another 12 units to go, then we will have 30 trains that break down every day! Can’t wait!

707013 and 707014 haven't been delivered so only 16. Any sighting was an error when 707028 and 707029 were delivered - someone thought that 13 and 14 would follow 11 and 12. Some suggestion that the higher numbered units are obstructing delivery of the lower numbered ones wherever they are currently being kept.

Good to see an extra diagram today, that is keeping to the schedule. There should be another 4 units entering service in a fortnights time.
