Or FCC drivers can be trained on said routes... (and new drivers based at Three Bridges). All these services that aren't cleared for DOO are still in the planning phase.

I don't think FCC will sign it.. because that would probably mean us southern drivers would learn up to peterborough/cambridge, so I doubt it. But you never know. Three bridges depot will probably be made out of Brighton FCC drivers, Southern Three bridges drivers and a few others moving by choice.

AIUI The 700s can operate anywhere with suitable radio using DOO which means anywhere in former Network Southeast. This is because like the 377s that FCC use, they have onboard cameras and do not need platform DOO equipment (FCC run 12 car 377s DOO despite the platforms only having 8 car DOO cameras as the onboard cameras are used instead)

I suspect the fun will really start with the next SWT franchise if and when the 455s on SWT get replaced with new stock with onboard DOO cameras....

I doubt SWT ,it's successor or any other completely non DOO TOC would bother spending money fitting DOO cameras on their trains before attempting to reach some kind of agreement with the staff first or unless DFT as with IEP insist on them in future orders

I would have thought that onboard DOO cameras will be fitted on all new suburban stock in future. Even if used on Franchise A with guards on day one they could be transferred to Franchise B using DOO at any time.

I've heard there be driver change overs at places like blackfriars, finbury park and maybe East Croydon
