When do the class 458/5's start getting moved across to the Reading route?

Once the 707s are delivered, commissioned and crews trained. So not for another year probably.
I'm not looking forward to getting those scruffy old heaps back for my daily commute.
Still, they've got to do the platform extensions and power supply and there's no sign of any of that happening yet.

The latest CP5 enhancements plan draft (post Hendy) has the platform extension work taking place April 2016 - May 2017, but the power supply work is reported to have started last year and also completes in May 2017.
The power enhancements may not be very noticeable if going on within existing buildings.
Nope. That's a separate thing.
I think you'll find that the integration of Woking or Eastleigh is likely to happen before that as they're next door, closely followed by Guildford and Portsmouth direct and the lines that radiate from there. But that could change.
I'm currently enjoying the 150% increase that the 1722 Waterloo to Weybridge (458503+458515) got in December (from 4 coaches to 10) There are 5 cars running to Reading every day now in the peak/late.
Windsor services should be 10-car 458/5s on a Sunday too. Still doesn't need that many units. That would have been Strawberry Hill Depot where you saw units stabled.
What I want to know is why have several Windsor diagrams that were 458/5 have now reverted back to 450 units?
How do you know what the diagrams should be? There are still a few trains to be reintroduced into service, so there must be 450s on some 458 diagrams somewhere. They may have prioritised other routes for ten car, the Windsor service itself isn't guaranteed specific trains.
Any thoughts on whether 458/5's are likely to visit Bournemouth depot for any reason - I only ask because if any have already visited I have missed them?
Knowing my lack of perception there have probably been many and I have missed them all.![]()

MatthewRead's point is that prior to the December timetable Windsor was 100% 458 on weekdays, so it clearly was prioritised contrary to your assertion.
Have 458507, 517 or 528 entered traffic yet?
