A google search of "weather brighton" shows some rain on Sunday. Hopefully it will clear up... Otherwise we wont be able to see much!
Can I expect to see you on the tour Kite? I know you will be tired.

I'm in coach A. Yep probably would be a bit tired with The Waste Train tour on the previous day.

Is the special formed of 2 units? if so might be a problem as the bays at Beckenham Jn can only take 8 cars although it can start back from plat 3 (down main) but I see its going to be there for about 25mins don't think SE Trains will like that.

It's a 5 car to Beckenham Jct, the other 5 car remains at Victoria.

If going to Victoria for this don't forget there is the 85th anniversary events at Victoria Coach station from Fri-Sun. Heritage coaches in lanes 1-4.

10 car with some splitting happening at times. I believe everyone can spread out into unallocated seats whilst it's 10 car but have to use the seat displayed on ticket when requested when it becomes 5 car for a time.

Shame I was unable to do this tour, but if one emerges when the 319's and 455's depart, I'll be on it!

Sad to see the 442's bowing out. The last time I saw one was last week at Streatham Hill.

I'm glad I found this thread - I was somewhat startled to see a "Gatwick Express" sitting in the bay platform at Beckenham Junction yesterday morning!

One of the headboards was auctioned and the wining bid was over £1000. I'm not sure how many stayed on for the trip around Stewart's lane as it was getting rather late by the time we got back to Victoria.

There were some "interesting" characters on the tour, that's for sure!

A great day out and many thanks to the organisers.

Apologies for the advertisement, but I also have the thameslink sidings traversal going up later today. It was a great railtour and they will be missed.

On the other hand, it p£%$£s me off greatly that the 442s in eastbourne sidings have been graffitied recently.
