Is one to assume then that the refusal to sort out driver shortages is the choice of the DfT?Class377/5 is just stating the nature of the contact between GTR and the DfT
Just a fact not an opinion
If you want to talk about the GTR management contract, ask the mods to split it off in a separate thread. What evidence is there that there is a Refusal to sort out the driver shortage. From other threads it looks more like bad management.

Sticking to the corporate hymn sheet I see.
So if they said there could be a cheaper font applied, DfT would say no?
OK then...
Good design costs nothing. In fact, good design saves money.

People might expect airline levels of customer service, and airline quality seating if they did that...![]()
That was a clever way to introduce other charges without much fuss or outrage. I don't think there was ever a serious intention to bring in a charge for using toilets.RyanAir had some good ideas.....
Suggesting charging for the use of toilets!!
Hi are there any set 387/2 diagrams yet or are they still working ad hoc on SN and GTR?

Any idea why there was a 387/1 (129? 123? I forget the number) stabled outside Bletchley TMD today? I thought all the /1s had been tested.

None for SN
3 diagrams on TL intermixed with the /1's, so can be on any /1 diagram
GX iirc only one diagram on the 17:2x service of victoria ( posted above somewhere).
Hope that helps.

There's only 1 Gatwick diagram of 2 units at the moment Monday-Friday
18:26 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
19:30 Gatwick Airport - Victoria
20:15 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
21:00 Gatwick Airport - Victoria
21:45 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
22:35 Gatwick Airport - Victoria
23:30 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
00:20 Gatwick Airport - Victoria
There are 3 on loan to Thameslink that are allocated to any 387 diagram on a daily basis
Thanks

Thank you. That's why I didn't see any out on Saturday then... thought start of service on Gatwicks was 29th Feb...
The GW electrification thread suggests that their 387s are going to operate a peak hour service to Hayes & Harlington from the May timetable. If they haven't even been gauge cleared yet, is this suggestion a trifle optimistic? Is it one of the GWR ones I wonder?

I can't say for sure, but I understand there is a unit going to do clearance gauging on the great western sometime this month so it could be that.

These may be the first /1's to recieve mods, iirc that is why the GX /2's are with thameslink to enable this modification work to be done.
It's April that the 387s are due to start working with GWR.

You need to do gauge testing prior to running in service, so no.
A May start won't be too bad, they won't be kept waiting and (IIRC) ahead of schedule still.
