Thanks for the update.

Can you translate diagrams into layman's terms. Do they translate to timetables?

Thanks for the update.

Can you translate diagrams into layman's terms. Do they translate to timetables?

Here's a typical 'diagram' for a single WLL 377/2, in this case SU2014 from 2012:

Selhurst Depot 04:58 5M04 SU204 1
Selhurst 1 05:15 05:15 5M04 SU204 1
Balham 6 05:23 05:25 2M04 SU204 1
Milton Keynes 56 06:55 07:01 2O97 SU204 1
East Croydon 114 09:04 09:08 2M22 SU204 1
Milton Keynes 172 11:02 11:13 2O35 SU204 1
East Croydon 230 12:58 13:10 2M38 SU204 1
Milton Keynes 288 15:01 15:13 2O51 SU204 1
East Croydon 346 16:58 17:10 2M54 SU204 1
Milton Keynes 404 19:00 19:15 2O67 SU204 1
Clapham Jn 452 20:33 20:39 2M66 SU204 1
Milton Keynes 500 22:05 22:11 2O79 SU204 1
East Croydon 558 00:01 00:11 5O79 SU204 1
Sel. D. Fork Arrvl 560 00:19 00:19 5O79 SU204 1
Selhurst Sepot 560 00:34

There are 5 of those needed for the full day's workings, so once they are available you can translate the information onto the public timetable and find out which trains are 5 car and which are 8 car.

3x 377/5 diagrams from 4th August? Is that a typo? 5x 377/7 diagrams perhaps?

Shouldn't August be 4x 377/7 and one 8 car 377/2, that's the final plan anyway with the 377/7 diagrams being 901-904 and the 377/2 being 4xx.

If the 377/5's are being used, I hope the exteriors will be tidied up

377/5 has to be an accidental typo though.

The 377/5 are all still needed by Thameslink services, as are most of the 377/2s. The whole point of the 377/7s is really to release more 377/2s to the Thameslink route - if 377/5s were really becoming available for the WLL they wouldn't have needed to order the 377/7s in the first place...

The 377/5's aren't going to WLL duties. For a start they are required on Thameslink duties until 2017 for a start.

All other 377s do, including the /6s so I'd imagine the /7s do too.

if anyone's interested - 377702+705 galloped through Harrow and Wealdstone 14.35 yesterday and were parked up in Wembley yard (again) when I passed at 15.00. The first ones of these that I've seen!:D

I'm glad I looked at this thread now, I can get into position for one of those early trains! :D

Aside from that, 377705 and 377702 were visible clearly on Wembley EUFOC when I cruised by on 350238+350242 working the 1414 from New Street what is now yesterday. Well chuffed as that was my first sight of the /7s :)

Just to confirm two things:

377704 was out on 0858 Dorking to London Victoria with 377625 this morning, and was due to leave on 1001 back to Dorking as I left Victoria on a 465.

Other than that, 377705 and 702 still visible clearly on Wembley EUFOC when I passed on 1413 Euston-Birmingham NS.

Stayed on those workings as above until 2E74 1601 Victoria to Dorking - which it did NOT work. Due to the problems at Battersea tonight, 377704 was the last train into Victoria before the line closed and then picked up a different diagram after, working (according to reports elsewhere)...
2R90 17:01 Victoria - Epsom Downs
2R61 18:02 Epsom Downs - Victoria
2E98 19:20 Victoria - Horsham

Just to add to this if anyone is looking for it tomorrow, it is currently country end of the pairing with 377625 and two pairs start from Horsham so, assuming no changes tomorrow, it should be relatively easy to trace.

I note that the first class antimassacars and window stickers have been applied to the inner end of the particioned carriage which differs from the treatment of the 377/6s where the first class markings are at the drivers end.

I saw two 377/7 London bound travelling on the fast through Watford Junction at about 2130 yesterday - two more deliveries? I didn't catch the numbers.

No, just testing.

Both 703 & 704 were in service today. Seems they will be out on WCML duties from Monday.
