Inside the arriva traincare Shed, 010 is visible from the wcml crewe to Stafford route quite easily.

006 ans 010 are still sitting at crewe waiting for mods and there's not enough room at Birkenhead for all 5 units to stable !

Shame Merseyrail don't open the old sidings between the depot and Bidston East Junction.

They've been very busy there lately. I believe they're installing a train washer, from what someone on here said. Looks like they are close to laying some track for it.

Yep new wash plant close to where there was actually one years ago. Also I believe a fuelling point is going in somewhere too.

A unit just arrived at Crewe from Birkenhead. Bit dark so couldn't see which one.

I think it was 008 as that was on the driver traction refresher training today on the Wrexham to Bidston route.
The 230's have now resumed traincrew training runs now after the Christmas/ New Year break, there's still 2 of them based at crewe ATC depot the last I heard.

I couldn't see any units outside the sheds at BHN today; they had a 507 sat there instead.

On Tuesday and yesterday 230006 was in the sidings at Chester.
Again on Tuesday both 008 snd 009 were noted coming off the Bidston line at Wrexham General.

It was 006 and 008 in the middle yard R3 at Chester today, this is for the traincrew training which has restarted this week.

Has it definitely left? There's still one parked in Crewe, it's just further inside the shed than before so can't be seen as well from passing trains. No idea what number it is though.

7&8 were parked in one of the bays at Wrexham General this afternoon.

007 and 008 were not in use as 1 of them failed on the single line (surprise/suprise) and the other was the recovery train, 010 was spotted on its way to bhn so it maybe inside the shed out of the way. 009 hasn't been seen for a while maybe that's still at crewe.

I heard it was to do with the brakes rather than the engines this time. But I'm sure someone else knows the full story.

In fairness there are daily possessions at Birkenhead North depot at the moment whilst they work on the new wash plant which must be impacting on the stock moves somewhat.

The 230's need a fuel road fitting by May at Birkenhead North depot, refuelling at Chester depot won't be possible with the 197s being introduced at the same time.

Drivers have been having refreshes on the 230's as it been over 6 months since they signed them.

Yes I agree it does seem all very quiet....I was expecting to start seeing them daily now. It's pretty much march now.....was it April or may they are due in service?
