I wouldn't think of confusing the standard with first! Although, given the state of First Class on GTR, the TPE Standard would probably pass for First Class down there

Oddly enough on the former First Great Eastern class 360's the first class seats used on those units are the same as the standard class seats on 185's.

Are all 51 getting done, or only the 29 that will be staying? If the latter, then that will give us advance warning which are going.

All 51 are being refurbished.

Had it confirmed yesterday that the 350s will receive the new livery but no refurbishment.

Refurbing them all makes sense as they will be in a better standard of presentation when they are sent to their new homes.

Thank you for the info.

The franchise agreement states that the 350s should get wifi fitted, though. Is that still going forward, even if nothing else gets done to them? Not that they really need refurbished, they're like four years old.

Yes to wifi - whole 350 fleet will be fitted this year ahead of 185s.

As the first internal refurbishment has begun (185109), perhaps now is a good time to summarise:

Units in black are untreated internally and still in Dynamic Lines. Units in bold are in the new livery but untreated internally. Units in red are currently undergoing internal refit. Units in indigo (none yet) are revinyled and refurbished inside.

185101, 185102, 185103, 185104, 185105, 185106, 185107, 185108, 185109, 185110, 185111, 185112, 185113, 185114, 185115, 185116, 185117, 185118, 185119, 185120, 185121, 185122, 185123, 185124, 185125, 125126, 185127, 185128, 185129, 185130, 185131, 185132, 185133, 185134, 185135, 185136, 185137, 185138, 185139, 185140, 185141, 185142, 185143, 185144, 185145, 185146, 185147, 185148, 185149, 185150, 185151.

There's currently a 185 sat in Piccadilly which has a slightly different variant of the dynamic lines livery. I didn't get close up enough to see which one, anyone know? It looked more like the TPE 350 livery.

So as of 29th January we're at this?

It's worth noting that 185109 is the engineers test unit ahead of the full programme to develop how the refit will happen. It is expected to have 185109 back in traffic unrefurbished in the near future.

It was sat outside York Siemens yesterday afternoon with no seats in whatsoever, so I'm guessing it won't be back for a couple of weeks at least. Can't be a quick job reattaching all the panels seats etc

Not quite... with the informationprovided by other posters, as of 29/1/17 the situation is:

Units in black are untreated internally and still in Dynamic Lines. Units in bold are in the new livery but untreated internally. Units in red are currently out of traffic. (109 may or may not be undergoing refurbishment!) Units in indigo (none yet) are revinyled and refurbished inside.

185101, 185102, 185103, 185104, 185105, 185106, 185107, 185108, 185109, 185110, 185111, 185112, 185113, 185114, 185115, 185116, 185117, 185118, 185119, 185120, 185121, 185122, 185123, 185124, 185125, 125126, 185127, 185128, 185129, 185130, 185131, 185132, 185133, 185134, 185135, 185136, 185137, 185138, 185139, 185140, 185141, 185142, 185143, 185144, 185145, 185146, 185147, 185148, 185149, 185150, 185151.

The situation with 185109 is as clear as mud, it seems!
