Are there still 175s at Ely? A working is scheduled to go there that looks like a loco with barrier wagons so could be off to pick something up, though these haven't usually arrived at Ely on a Friday:

175104 & half of 008 are still there. Although it's possible that the 2 156s that are still stored there will be the ones being moved instead, as the first two got moved to Wolverton months ago.

Don't even want to imagine what the inside of 175104 looks like now. Imagine it's probably a bit grim!
It appeared on the video that 104 was the only unit that was there with a NTBM board attached to it, would it have been worked on but I couldn`t see any ID tags hanging off it ? Or is it that it can`t or mustn't be moved ?

Suspect that it's probably been there so long that it's not safe to send on the mainline. Just a guess, though.
If 005 is anything to go by, it might be sent by road.
Probably a good shout as if its been there so long and it has not actually turned a wheel since it was parked up, there is the possibility that the wheel bearings have suffered Brinelling and they wouldn`t want to chance any vibration during transfer ?
The outermost 180 also appears to have a ‘Not to go’ notice in the windscreen. Does anybody have any insight into the reason for the tarpaulins covering every carriage end on the pair of 180s? Seems an odd addition! Are they known for leaking?

003 started the key diagram 2C05 and 112 came out running round empty. Then on 2C32 003 took it Exeter-Plymouth and 112 Plymouth-Penzanace-Exeter as 2E28.

My guess is for capacity as a 3-car has inevitably got more space for a peak-time service than a 2-car will. I could be wrong, though.
