class 156 pro released

hi guy's the class 156 pro has been released, head over to www.bverailnetwork.co.uk to download, well done another great train, took it out for a spin and its very good, like the in cab heater good idea.

Very good, I love the small map of NWM on the dashboard.

However, i've noticed that the engine sound is very quiet but the horn sound very loud in comparison, is this normal?

The horn is RIGHT under you, the engines are half way down the carriage.

My BVE seems to love forcing the clock to be 0:00:00 after installing a new train... the Class 50 has finally got to work...

Great, downloading it now. Will go nicely with my Harcroft v2.5 and of course v3. I have released a patch which makes the 156 diagram compatible with the new version, and also corrects some timings errors.

Call me dumb, but how exactly do you get the heater to work? It says 'Dash', but nothings happening.

It's ok, sorted. 'Coz I have a laptop, it's one of the keys pressed with the 'Function' key. All in all, brilliant work.

Brilliant train. Love the hearter sound as well. New horn, new AWS sounds, good brakeing, New throttle and brake lever sounds, new reverser sounds. It's brilliant!

I see what you're saying, and understand that the engines obviously aren't going to be as loud in the cab as towards the middle of the carriage, but they still seem pretty lound when standing in the vestibules and I can't imagine that bulkhead behind the driver makes that much difference. Still seems a little too quiet. Other than that, I think it's great.

All sounds where recorded from the cab, so voluming isn't an issue - I travel on these almost daily (happen to be a conductor) so I know what It sounds like. When you stand in the vestibules, again you get a completely different point of sound than you would being inclosed in the cab itself.

Zane I wasn't criticizing your work as you obviously know your stuff!

I noticed on BVE and in real life that if you put the throttle to neutral the engine makes a loud roar and then goes quiet, why doesn't it happen on this DMU and not on others eg 158, 170?

I just love the sound of the conductor opening the door control panel, then closing it once were off! Superb! 11 out of 10 for it!

My private life has nothing to do with you or the BVE forum. As it happens insufficient funds has stopped pilot training and theres good reasons for it too.
