class 150 / 153 combo on Snow Hill line.

is this a new thing for a 153 + 150 on the above diagram, usually the only 153 + 150 i see is the usual one on the Dorridge - Stourbridge.

This seems to be the same for the last few weeks now! I spent 5 days at the start of this month riding them and taking photos at Snow Hill, Moor Street, Solihull, Cradley Heath, Old Hill Langley Green and Stourbridge and each day it was on the same service. Monday18th July it was 153354 & 150 001.All the photos below are take at the said staions that match the times stated below!!!!

This week starting from Monday 28th Feb - Friday 4th March could people post which class 153 / 150 were forming the Dorridge - Stourbridge Junction services each day please? As i am interested to see the varied unit allocations of the service each day!!

does the stourbridge to dorridge service really need a 3 car 150 and a 153 (outside rush hour)? are they not very bothered about revenue protection (corridor connections?) as i presume when the 153 is at the back the guard stays in that and therefor cannot get through the rest of the train.

Sounds about right! Only seen it on 150 0s sets. I can see from the back garden when they pass between Rowley and Langley, sometimes they do swop ends. Only ever seen them with LM green sets and no the blue sets.

They have the same coupling so Who knows, but the 172 are longer the the old cars!

A few weeks ago, whilst going past Tyseley on the Shakespeare Limited, a 172 was seen coupled to a 153, on another pass it was coupled to a 150, so they must have been testing multiple working with other types that Sunday whilst they had a range of vehicles available!

153 can couple to 172 but is not gangway compatable, so through access wont be available when they are coupled. There will still be a 153 attached to a 172 on Mondays to Fridays

153334 was with 150002 again this evening @ 1900 at WO. Then, just to make a sandwich of the 153 170516. Joined on to make a weird 6 car working into Worcester depot!
