Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
Has anyone heard back from their VSE yet?

Also having reviewed the Chiltern thread from their last recruitment driver earlier this year, people refer to a second questionnaire (Situational Judgement style questions) It appears people were invited to complete this before the VSE. Has anyone been sent this to complete? This is my first-ever application for a train driver so I have definitely not got one on record with Chiltern.

Cheers

Roger
Nope, nothing as of yet for me. I await with bated breath.

I passed too , can't believe it though .
------------------------------------------------------------- "" The 2nd part of the questionnaire is Situational Judgement and if a multiple choice selection ""
-------------------------------------------------------------
Is the one ever harder to pass comparing to the VSE ??

Well done! I think the next part is may be more logic but let’s pretend it’s harder so we can do well!

I did VSE last week and got an email today to invite me for a second questionnaire due to passing VSE

First part interview questions and second part SJ style questions.

I would imagine the shear number of applicants it must take a while to process everyone

Is it a questionnaire or is it an interview? I would not expect any kind of interview until full OPC testing and then at the TOC.

I have just completed the second questionnaire. It starts with some basic info about you such as your name, email etc. There is then a series of interview-style questions that you would normally see on an application form before the final part which is a series of SJ-style questions. There was no mention of a timer on the first part of the form (Interview questions) It took me about 1.5-2hrs to get them written up. The SJ questions in the second part ask you not to spend more than 1 minute per question.

Obviously won't be going into detail about the q's for the integrity of the process, but nothing too challenging.

I've heard nothing either way yet. A guy I know who applied at the same time as me had his 'yes' yesterday. I did wonder if it's done alphabetically - his surname is right at the beginning of the alphabet, but mine is at the end......
Who knows!!

I failed too, gutted.

I also 'didn't meet the required standard' for an Avanti driver application I made earlier this year. For that, I believe I sat a situational judgement test with the OPC.

Does that mean my 2 lives are gone?

What did you all fail, the VSE?

Someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong here, but dont your 'two lives' only come into play when sitting the OPC assessments, not the ones provided by the TOC?

I am sorry to hear of those who have failed. I hope you all have better luck next time

With regard to the 'two lives' I think it is a bit of a grey area. The VSE test that Chiltern used was online but hosted by OPC. This has the potential of counting as a life, but I may be wrong. It would be worth contacting OPC directly to get clarification. Any of the other tests/questionnaires would certainly not count as a life.

All the best

Vse doesn't count for the two lives generally. However I believe it counts for tocs that use it .

So is the SJT next for the people that have passed?

I still haven't heard a thing back since sending off my details.
People who passed the VSE exercise were sent an online questionnaire encompassing an SJT and some interview-style questions. I believe the next stage after this (if successful of course) will be to attend a day at the OPC

The VSE is an OPC assessment, even though it's completed online instead of in person.

The VSE is an OPC test so failure I believe would count as a 'life lost'.

What was the deadline on the SJT if you know?

The VSE is part of OPC assessment. It's stage two

I have submitted my situational judgment test but just received an email reminding me to compete it by midnight tonight.
Has anyone else had this reminder ? I may re submit another one just incase?

Hi, I just had one too and had a panic! Hopefully just a reminder sent to everyone whether you submitted it or not

I received the same having completed it last week. I had a slight panic, but after emailing them back they have just confirmed they sent it to everyone as a reminder in case you hadn’t completed it.

It wasn’t worried the best tbh.
