Full marks to Chiltern for opening the draft to full public consultation. I'm primarily interested in the changes at the Brum end of things, being a fairly regular visitor to Warwick.
So, a few of questions/observations:
1) I wonder if it would be possible to start the 1h55 fast service from Moor Street to Marylebone back from Snow Hill.
2) It seems a shame that Warwick will lose one of its two services to London per hour. I know the 1tp2h stopper from Moor Street to Leamington is supposed to compensate by providing a 4 minute connection at Leamington, but it seems a bit unfair for a station used by 494 000 people last year to see the number of direct off peak London services halved to 1tph.
3) I can't help thinking that the 1tp2h Moor Street to Leamington stopper is going to be pretty poorly used, except perhaps between Warwick and Leamington. It would seem more sensible to get London Midland to extend their Dorridge terminator to Leamington every two hours off peak instead.
4) The Stratford-Marylebone services seem to have a fairly erratic spacing (roughly 1tp2.5h) which also contributes to the uneven spacing of services at Warwick. I wonder if it would be possible to run a Stratford service in the alternate hour to the Moor Street-Leamington stopper, which would improve the proposed Warwick situtation greatly?
