Also new here but have been observing from a distance for a while! I did my VSE just before the deadline and haven’t heard back with the DB website showing it as in progress. Is anyone else still waiting for results? Can’t seem to find a way to chase
Im in the same boat. Did my VSE the day they sent it, not heard anything since. I emailed OPC and they said all results had been sent to Chiltern. I emailed the recruitment email and the guy who sent the original questionnaire and haven't heard anything back. That was about a week ago.

Glad I’m not alone! Will let you know if I hear anything

Somewhere.
Just joined this forum, and hoping to find help and advice to get me through to the end!
I’ve passed the VSE and Microsoft Questionnaire form and have now been invited to OPC in Watford on 22nd Jan! Bit nervous to be honest as not entirely sure what to expect!
Hopefully some of you that are going through next week can advise on what happens
Thanks guys!
Just read all the info on here, download the group bourdon test and search MMI questions, so you have some answers ready. Don't be nervous they are quite relaxed at the assessment centre.

@puffpuffgive did you have any joy?
Nope, I tried a few addresses, never heard back.

I find this a lot with these jobs. I haven’t been rejected from any application, just stop hearing. I got an email late last year inviting me to an interview for another role that I applied for in 2020 and hadn’t heard from since. Did the interview and told I had passed to the next stage, not heard anything for about 4 months.

Hopefully one will eventually stick.

This is really interesting. I attended an assessment day in Birmingham on January 9th for the position of Trainee Train Manager. I passed the assessments and made it through to the interview at the end of the day. I felt like it went well and they told me I should hear by the end of the following week. So far I’ve heard nothing. I’ve been in touch with HR who forwarded my query to Recruitment but still nothing. It still says assessment on my profile but trying to pin someone down for an answer is proving impossible.

I’ve got my stage 2 tomorrow at OPC in Watford. Stage 1 was written tests and I’m not entirely sure what this one will be. The lady in Stage 1 mentioned reaction and perception tests but I’ve been booked in for the whole day apparently (if I survive) so not sure that will fill up the whole day? Anyone been through Stage 2 that can advise what I should prepare for?
My confirmation email that I passed stage 1 went to my junk and I only read it at 4pm today!

I did mine on 22nd Jan. Was a half day with group bourdon test, multi tasking (listening to sounds while working on finding patterns on paper) and similar ones.

Should be in a email sent by the company Chiltern. Stage 2 should be WAFV, ATAVT, 2 hand coordination and then SJE leading into MMI. Be prepared, the session day lasts a bit of time as you need to do interviews one after each other. The actual testing bit is 52mins or so for all 3 computer tests.

See this is what confuses me, I also applied for the trainee train manager role for BHM - portal has updated to Assessment yet havent had any phone calls or emails.
I've also applied for Trainee Driver Roles for Chiltern with the exact same thing happening - at this rate I wont bother applying for Chiltern anymore as they just don't seem to bother contacting you

You should get in touch directly with OPC to see what the result of your VSE test was, in the first instance.

Chiltern are taking you for a spin, they're the ones who will receive the result from OPC and should tell you if you've failed or not, OPC will only then give feedback on the result at a later date after requested via a phone call. The only thing left to know about the VSE result, is to apply with another TOC that does VSE and see if they continue or halt the process based on the result.

End of process generally means that you have been unsuccessful although you should have received correspondence to that effect unless you had previously been told that you would only be contacted if successful, at whatever stage of the process you had reached.

Have you applied at another depot with them already? If you already have an application underway they'll scrub your new one as they only allow you to apply to one depot at a time.
