Ha! As I said I heard a rumour so that doesn’t surprise :)

Does anyone know what the rota looks like for drivers at Stourbridge and Moor Street? Mainly rest day patterns as know it an alternating week of early and lates.

I’m in Dubai at the moment on annual leave. I’m back in the office Monday so I’ll try get a look at the base roster for you.

I am aware they alternate earlies and lates with some long stretches which will give a long weekend every 4-5 weeks. SBJ is an early late depot where Birmingham has a handful of middles. SBJ has a night turn for shunting where BMO does not.

I would say though both rosters will change with the arrival of mark 5’s so they could look very different in just over a year

Enjoy your holiday!

I didn’t think Moor Street was getting the Mk5’s just Stourbridge and Marylebone? ( or at least to start with )

Cheers!

SBJ and London first as they are already the only two depots rostered the current mark 3 stock and we need to replace them by April.

BMO will learn them also but not need to be done as urgency.

Hi mate,

When would the courses be for people being interviewed this week and next?
it would be different for different depots to be honest so I’d rather not say on a public forum as someone doing said interviews

However, please feel free to ask at the interview as a closing question if you are not told on the day.

Okay I understand.

I've got a few questions to ask so i will if needed. Any tips on the DMI? Feel free to private message me :)
I cannot give tips on DMI I am afraid.

Happy to answer general questions on the company :)

We welcome questions at the interview.

The online VSE invites were sent out and the deadline to complete I believe was the 7th November.

No worries mate, how long have you worked for Chiltern and what's the pros and cons?
I’ve been here since 2019. I came from another TOC as I heard really good things about chiltern and the “family” feel. In that time I have progressed from driver to instructor to operations trainer. Progression options and the family feel are part of the reasons I left for here. As well as during my time as a driver I didn’t have to work Sundays as it was outside of the working week

The cons which we are working through now are the fact we were a victim of our own success and we did not have as much stock to carry the passengers we currently do, but this is changing with expansion and it’s great to be part of

Ahh okay, I must have been unsuccessful then. I thought I might have got a rejection email to confirm. Thank you for answering :).
Same, thought there might have been an email, but my application is still "live" on Chilterns website so no idea if successful or not or still waiting!

From previous experiences the website doesn’t update instantly or immediately. It’s frustrating I know.

I would assume though with the deadline being the 7th, you’d not get an instant update this quickly as the deadline has not passed.

Patience may be needed here

Yeah I was going with the assumption that I have not been successful this time, though I have with x country which is also Arriva owned and had a Thursday deadline, strange

The XC one was partial sift hence a quick turn around from application closing.

As an fyi my chiltern applications very slowly moved and only ever changed once the next stage had been confirmed ( sometimes months after completing the previous stage )

Although both owned by Arriva, 2 very independent companies

I've been successful so far with XC also. Awaiting the online tests to come through. Could you please explain what you mean by a partial sift? Thank you.

Thank you for your inside view. It's nice to know that Chiltern has a good working environment and are trying to doing better by expanding. Knowing this makes me feel more excited for my interview... let's hope I make it over the line. Thanks again mate I appreciate the reply!

I would say around 10 questions and mostly competency based. Do you have an interview coming up?
I’m hopping so I applied for the Aylesbury position but I have already passed all my OPC assessments with another TOC so I have my fingers crossed that I will get straight to managers interview. When I check my application it says 1.2 VSE not exactly sure what that means. If anyone can explain.
