Just had the email to say I've passed all stage 2 and aplication now goes back to chiltern. Feeling relieved to have passed the MMI let's hope it's not too long a wait for the DMI

Ha ha. How long have people been waiting for DMI during this selection
It’s a how long is a piece of string. Some people got DMI dates same day they got OPC results, others have been waiting a while. Literally depends when they are planning another course intake.

I believe next intakes are September and November

All depends on depot at the moment.

It’s baffling that they are reopening the position when they’ve not long opened a talent pool… very baffling.
This too, is depot and OPC result dependant.

Chiltern Apprentice Train Driver - Aylesbury (for Feb/Sep 2025 intake)

Hi everyone. I am starting this thread to seek insight, and to see if anyone is on the same boat.

Chiltern has recently posted another opening for the Sep 2025 intake in Aylesbury. To my knowledge, this is the first time after they aborted the campaign for the Feb 2025 intake. When I tried to apply for the current intake, the system showed that I had already applied, linking it to the previous application. However, the application status has not been updated in any way. Chiltern changed it to 'unsuccessful' around April to reflect the cancellation of the Feb campaign, while reassuring us that we would be contacted for new openings.

In brief, I was not able to submit a new application, but the only application status in my profile was 'unsuccessful'. There has been no communication from the hiring teams yet. I wonder if we are indeed still in the pipeline and are automatically included in this round. Would we be caught in a loophole, be mistakenly considered to have been actually unsuccessful in the last round, hence ineligible for this new round due to the requirement of the 6-month gap?

I would love to hear from you who have any news, insight, or a stake in this.

Thank you. (Dear MODs, please kindly move this if a new thread should not be started. Thank you for maintaining this wonderful realm.)

If you have a contact email, ping them an email. They’ll be able to clarify the situation easily! Best of luck, I hope your application is still live somewhere!

I assume we won’t see anything for Banbury until 2026 at the earliest, which is a shame as that would be my target!

Applied for Marylebone, it closed yesterday, wondering how long it’ll take to update/hear back. I’ve passed online enhanced under 6 months, and passed pencil and paper tests at national level, should go straight to computer tests/MMI?

Chiltern is enhanced so anything you’ve passed at national standard you will have to resit

Chiltern operates to an enhanced standard, including but not necessarily limited to adding the VSE. Exactly what makes their standard enhanced is only known to them and test centres. You'll be told when you go to sit which tests you need to resit, if any.

Hello,
all those who have passed the stage 2 OPC assessments, has the "current stage" been updated to reflect this on your candidate portal on Chiltern website?

Thank you

Hi everyone, if someone could help me find answer to some questions that I had.

I applied to the testing pool for Marylebone London back in February. I recently checked my status on the website, it has now changed to 1.7 OPC stage one I haven’t had any emails regarding this. I’ve seen other people on this forum who applied back in February get their OPC test stage 1. I’ve not been sent anything.

there has also been another vacancy that popped up… this time it was for apprentice train driver which I applied for… the dead line for that was 30th of June.

Just wondering if someone could shed light on the testing pool that I applied back in February that says 1.7 OPC STAGE 1

What stage are the other applicants?

1.7 will most likely mean you’ve already done all your paper tests and just need to do computer based and mmi?

It just shows 1.7 OPC STAGE 1. I haven’t done any paper test or anything like that.

The only thing I did was during the application stage where they ask you questions and u have to pick out of 3 options that’s it. Haven’t done anything else apart from that

My profile still says 1.2 VSE testing and I've already passed both OPC stages and MMI. Still waiting on a DMI.
