Changes at Bridlington

When passing through Bridlington Saturday lunchtime travelling northbound we used Platform 5. I know this was sorted out and made possible in the recent resignalling and rationalisation, but the use of Platform 5 now seems to be the norm, with Platform 4 only being used when services to and from Scarborough pass. (Platform 6 is still used by terminating trains)

I can see sense in it, step free access without using the barrow crossing, but RTT is still showing Platform 4. Is it a permanent thing or a trial to see how it works. Given the current reduced service I would imagine most services northbound to Scarborough can use Platform 5 as the services cross at or just north of Hunmanby at the other end of the long single track section if everything is running to time.

That seems to be true in the full timetable (not checked the whole day!) and it is an obvious change to make.

There's very few booked to use $ now in the WTT, except when necessary, and even most of those I can see are due to crossing an RHTT, so when that isn't running the signaller might route it into 5 anyway.
