Seems that nothing's running on the WCML north of Carlisle. Does anyone know what's caused this?
Looks like all of tonight's sleeper services have been cancelled as well. I bet these passengers aren't very happy. When this happens do Scotrail sort out overnight accommodation for displaced passengers, where required?
Understand a Pendo is dewired near Gretna:
A train fault near Carlisle has caused problems with the overhead wires near the station. Until the necessary repairs have been made trains will be unable to run between Carlisle and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh. A limited bus replacement service is running between these stations.
Trains are not expected to run until the start of service tomorrow, Thursday 10th July as the repairs are being carried out overnight.
The 23:40 Glasgow Central - London Euston Caledonian Sleeper service has been cancelled.
Virgin Trains and First TransPennine Express are advising passengers not to travel between Carlisle and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh due to limited road replacement transport available. Tickets dated for today (9th July) will be accepted for travel tomorrow.

East Coast between York and Edinburgh.
CrossCountry between Leeds / York and Edinburgh
Virgin Trains on any reasonable routes
