That could ring true. 73970 has been taken off and one of the pair from the Aberdeen portion is now on the FW with the Aberdeen now a single 73.

Makes sense, the Aberdeen portion is lighter during the summer months, plus the gradients are generally less taxing.

1S25 arrived on time from London, and the other two portions left at/around the right time, so what delayed the Fort Bill portion?

The down Lowlander is showing delayed at Euston

RTT shows the Highlander finally depaerted 111 minutes late at 2306. Empty stock for Lowlander just arrived in platform 1, having been sitting oputside euston for nearly two hours. I imagine some of its passengers have been wanting to get to bed for quite a while now, especially those in the classic beds who don't get to use the lounge and will have been queuing in the cold at the entrance to Platform 1 since before 10pm
