Who said the Glasgow seats was sold out? Judging by the seat reservation labels it's barely a third full!

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few cancellations once people found out that it was unlikely to be an ACLG machine at the front.
That should be the case - loco at the buffer in Euston should lead out of Wembley.

Definitely been cancellations since the traction was confirmed as absolute dross! I was erring over staying and just leaping at Waverley if it was 92 for 86 but a refund now seems a very wise choice!

Errr yes, like i was choosing to travel because of the type of loco.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems a bit off that the seats ended up being fully-booked because of "enthusiasts" who have now decided to cancel due to the change of traction.
It's not exactly fanciful to think there might be people who genuinely wanted to get to London who couldn't - made worst by the seats now being half empty.

Enthusiasts and Spotters cancelling tickets because of the loco? What a belter!
I think the calculation was that given its Easter Sunday the train would be empty hence put some decent traction on in / out of QS and you fill what would otherwise be empty seats. Problem with that is if you change the traction.....

The Edinburgh seats looked very lightly reserved at a quick glance when I walked past to ID the front loco.

Hearing reports the 47 on 1M11 has failed.

Indeed there were enthusiasts all over the place - not just on platform 7, but on 5 as well to get a clear shot of the 47.
I noticed quite a few Scotrail staff with cameras as well. Very relaxed, no one moaning about signing in first.
I found it quite hard at first to get any photos devoid of photographers
Beat me to it - gone back into station by the looks of things.

Wouldn't be surprised - it was sat in the tunnel on diagrams and is now back in P7.

The 47 declaired a failure. The 2 x 73s on the lowlander portion at Edinburgh have been detached and are awaiting the go ahead to go and rescue 1M11.

Why not just send 92 043?
Common sense? Is that a thing they use on the sleeper?

I guess if you sent 92 043 they’d still have to shunt out the duff Duff once back at EDB. Also the 73/9s needed to come off 5C11 anyway. So actually having thought a bit more about it does make sense...Common sense? Is that a thing they use on the sleeper?

Isn't it just more likely that it is due to driver availability?
There is still quite a lot of stunting to happen at Edinburgh - 73966 has to come off the back, 73968 / 73971 / 47749 have to come off the front and a 92 needs to go on.
Presumably 1M16 will go south first although that would appear contingent on both sides of Waverley being open (and the delayed Fort William portion not holding it up too much)
In just over 20 minutes time there will be two Caledonian Sleeper trains at different parts of Glasgow Queen Street station at the same time.
Is that not one of the harbingers of the end of time and space?
