Any ideas whats delaying the up FortBill?
73971 failed on departure - moved about 20m then gave up apparently. 66737 sent to rescue and is now providing the traction. 971 still in train providing the ETS.Any ideas whats delaying the up FortBill?
Edinburgh is 4 vice 8. After Carstairs it will be 5 vice 8.
No idea about loading.
1B01 still 100 Late (Dumbarton) - will delay 1M16 significantly.
1S25 76 Late at Crewe (was 104 Late at one point).
1S26 27 Late at Wolverton - stuck on the Slows by the looks of it until Hemel Hemstead, but now on the Fasts and starting to make up time.
Now back to 74.
Strong headwinds through Wigan??!
Stock was taken to Polmadie on 5B16 this afternoon. However, those coaches should have been at Wembley with the rest of 1M16, so about 400 miles out of position...!
1M16 now 92 late at Stafford - suspect more time will be lost as it will almost certainly run slow line all the way now (and probably go via Northampton).
1S26 seems to have gained time en route only to lose it between Tebay and Penrith and between Abington and Carstairs South. Now 50L into the Well.
Walking over the South Sub line bridge at Morningside this morning, late for work at about 9.10 am I saw what I am sure was a CS class 73, heading in the direction of Niddrie/ Craigentinny. Not pulling any stock. Any idea what that was?
With the two class 68 ECS movements and a westbound freight inbetween, that's four trains in about a quarter of an hour - too much excitement on the Sub.

Probably the failed 73 from Aberdeen that had moved the stock from clay hills to polmadie. That could have been it returning light to Craigentinny.
any ideas what might be working tommorows northbound highlander yet
92018 and 92010 have been working the Highlander between them this last week.
92018 northbound tonight, 92010 southbound probably (as it's in Waverley) so could well be 92010 tomorrow night.
92014 is the other one likely to be working the services north tomorrow night (as probably on 1M11 tonight).
92033 is the other possible 'fly in the ointment' as its been to Craigentinny for attention of some sort but showing on TOPS as back in traffic - and still being at the depot, so that may get in on the act at some point. They probably need to transfer an extra loco South at some point as there's no real "spare" at Willesden at the moment as they usually like to have. Things have been out of kilter since 90043 rescued 92014 a couple of weeks back and so two locos ended up in Scotland via 1S25 that night rather than the usual one.
As ever, the locos switch around (sometimes last minute) so won't know for sure until tomorrow night... but 010 my best guess for now.
ah ok thanks its likely to be a 92 then any idea what might be doing the aberdeen portion
Does the Northbound Lowlander usually use the new slow line at Norton Bridge? On it tomorrow night, and not travelled that cord yet

One 90 (047) is heading north tonight so rules that out, the other one (042) has done Carstairs portion last couple of nights, so unless they switch, yes, it'll most likely be a 92.
73967 has been working the Aberdeen recently (apart from when it failed the other night!). Again, they can swap them around, with 970 and 971 being the others out and about in Scotland at the moment.
