So with all these changes going on - what’s working at the moment on the sleepers? I couldn’t make out in the dark what was on the northbound lowland as I left Euston last night..

Looks like 92020 will be in the newer plain block blue/yellow livery, as the blue extends right up to the cab door.

I'm not entirely sure it will be - if you look closely at the pic of 020 compared to say 028 or 043 the orange frame around the main loco on 020 is proud of the body-side, wheras with a complete loco (e.g. https://flic.kr/p/YaVgFf) everything is flush - so I think there might be some outer panels that go on the blue section on 020?Thought the same when I saw it, makes it easy to tell apart at least.
Some proof that newly refurbed/repainted 92028 works on the 3rd rail:

Great video - always find it odd to watch them move under their own power without the pan up!Some proof that newly refurbed/repainted 92028 works on the 3rd rail:
South London earlier this afternoon.
028 and 044 back down to Dollands Moor. And two of DB's broken ones in the other direction.
Cheers - the perfect alignment must have been out in Kent somewhere when they all passed each other.
Too perfect and it becomes a nightmare "bowling" scenario!Funnily enough I did toy with using the phrase "almost perfect alignment".![]()
They'll almost certainly be doing some deputising, but I'm not sure that was the primary reason. I believe there was at least one stock move last night (Class 700) - but then that would only need 1x 92, so maybe it was GBRf sensing an opportunity for hire-in revenue...?Maybe they are down there to deputise for the DB ones that headed for Crewe yesterday?
...I believe the china clays were a late cancellation at the Belgium end hence why the GBRf 92s went down there as at that time they were expecting 6B94/6S94 to run. They'll almost certainly be doing some deputising, but I'm not sure that was the primary reason. ...and here is 92014 firstly on the aforementioned 0Z86 light engine move yesterday and then on 6X41 this morning:As reported on the main CS thread 92014 had a spin on the Garston-Dagenham cars yesterday, running light engine from Willesden to Garston to take up the duty.
Update: 66707 has moved from Tuebrook Sidings on a VSTP 0Z66 move with 92014 recessing to Crewe Holding Sidings on VSTP 0Z92. This may or may not be linked to the OHLE issue at Woodgrange Park which resulted in a Freightliner Shed (66547) topping 92014 on 6L48/6X41 last night from Wembley to Dagenham and back.
For anyone interested, here is 92033 performing for my camera on a grizzly winter night about a week ago, on the northbound highlander:
