So with all these changes going on - what’s working at the moment on the sleepers? I couldn’t make out in the dark what was on the northbound lowland as I left Euston last night..

Northbound Lowland was 92033 last night, 92018 on Northbound Highland. 92010 done the Lowlander ECS in London last night and is still down there.

92014 done the Southbound Highland, with 90045 on Southbound Lowland. 90016 is currently on the Carstairs portions.

87002 and 86101 are on Glasgow and Euston ECS respectively, 86401 at Craigentinny awaiting repairs.

73970 is at Doncaster, likely waiting for transfer to Brush. 73971 and 73968 are at Craigentinny and 73969 is at Brush.

Finally, 73966 is on Aberdeen and 73967 is on Fort William.

...and to clear up on yesterday's 92 moves:

92043 came off the cars and ran light to Willesden - due an exam in a couple of days (although still a couple of days left on the clock for possible beds/ECS work)
No loco came the other way (there was a return WN-Crewe path, but wasn't run in the end.

92028 ran from Carlisle Yard to Polmadie and is due on 1M11 tonight.

92032
remains in Crewe neck ("Holding Sidings") - possibly going on to the cars on Monday (light loco path Crewe HS to Garston in for Mon lunchtime), but then again, might not...

92044 still stopped at Willesden. The 028 moves to get it back south and/or 0Z86 light loco moves to Bounds Green that are in for this evening and back Tues pm may be linked to this - or may have nothing to do with it of course!

92033 also due B exam this week and 92014 due A exam later in the week (together with 043's A exam), plus hired-in 90016 also requiring an exam in a few days, so loco allocations on the beds and other workings this week are likely to be pretty varied.

As per the main Sleeper thread, 92033 is on Carstairs tonight with 90016 on the Southbound Highlander.

92014 is on the Northbound Highlander with 92010 on the Northbound Lowlander.

90016 swapping 92018 on the Southbound Highlander should mean that both 92014 ad 92018 are in the Klondyke siding at Waverley tomorrow, assuming 92018 doesn't disappear to a depot overnight.

Working on the same assumption, 92014/018/033 should all be in Edinburgh at the same time tomorrow morning, not often 3 92s are there at once I don't think.

Looks like 92020 will be in the newer plain block blue/yellow livery, as the blue extends right up to the cab door.
Thought the same when I saw it, makes it easy to tell apart at least.
I'm not entirely sure it will be - if you look closely at the pic of 020 compared to say 028 or 043 the orange frame around the main loco on 020 is proud of the body-side, wheras with a complete loco (e.g. https://flic.kr/p/YaVgFf) everything is flush - so I think there might be some outer panels that go on the blue section on 020?

Also 92043 was painted after they started doing the 66s in the new squared-off livery, so I had thought that would be the one any revised version would appear on first - but it came out with the rounds on still.

As there'll only be 5x blue & orange 92s and 028/043 are already in matching livery (and 032 is sort of) you'd think the other 2 or 3 would be kept the same.

We'll have to see in a few months exactly what it's been decked out in...

Looks like they are having a second go with 92043 on 1S26 tonight - and not to be outdone, 1S25 should have grey 92044 fresh from tyre turning at Bounds Green at the helm.

EDIT: 1S25 - 92044 seems to have been swapped for a normal CS liveried 92.

Some proof that newly refurbed/repainted 92028 works on the 3rd rail:

South London earlier this afternoon.

Great video - always find it odd to watch them move under their own power without the pan up!

028 and 044 back down to Dollands Moor.
And two of DB's broken ones in the other direction.

Great shots there @BRX. 4 class 92's in the space of roughly an hour - a case of the planets in perfect alignment. :D

Cheers - the perfect alignment must have been out in Kent somewhere when they all passed each other.

Funnily enough I did toy with using the phrase "almost perfect alignment". :D
Too perfect and it becomes a nightmare "bowling" scenario!

...looks like we were thrown a bit of a dummy with 028 + 044 heading down to Dollands Moor yesterday as the china clay tanks aren't running today in the end.

Maybe they are down there to deputise for the DB ones that headed for Crewe yesterday?

They'll almost certainly be doing some deputising, but I'm not sure that was the primary reason. I believe there was at least one stock move last night (Class 700) - but then that would only need 1x 92, so maybe it was GBRf sensing an opportunity for hire-in revenue...?

...I believe the china clays were a late cancellation at the Belgium end hence why the GBRf 92s went down there as at that time they were expecting 6B94/6S94 to run.

As reported on the main CS thread 92014 had a spin on the Garston-Dagenham cars yesterday, running light engine from Willesden to Garston to take up the duty.

...and here is 92014 firstly on the aforementioned 0Z86 light engine move yesterday and then on 6X41 this morning:

The last time a CS-liveried 92 worked the cars was when 92023 did a brief week-long stint as part of post-Brush testing/proving which ended on 1st July last year. 92014 last worked the cars briefly 19th-22nd May last year - it managed to do 6X41 three times before being needed back (in a hurry) on the Sleepers.

Update: 66707 has moved from Tuebrook Sidings on a VSTP 0Z66 move with 92014 recessing to Crewe Holding Sidings on VSTP 0Z92. This may or may not be linked to the OHLE issue at Woodgrange Park which resulted in a Freightliner Shed (66547) topping 92014 on 6L48/6X41 last night from Wembley to Dagenham and back.

Quick update on where all the GBRf 92s are currently - of note all "main" Sleeper diagrams last night were Class 92 hauled:

92006 - Brush - due to return to service later in 2018 as a core Sleeper loco (in CS livery)
92010 - at Polmadie after working 1S26 Down Lowlander last night
92014 - 6X41/6L48 cars (although now recessed to Crewe H.S.) - as above
92018 - Willesden/Wembley after working 1M16 Up Highlander last night
92020 - Brush - due to return to service later in 2018 (already in GBRf livery)
92023 - Brush - Mk5 mods including Dellners
92028 - Carlisle station (awaiting return of China Clay empties this evening)
92032 - Waverley after working 1S25 Down Highlander last night
92033 - Willesden/Wembley after working 1M11 Up Lowlander last night
92038 - Brush - overhaul/reliability mods + Mk5 mods
92043 - Willesden TMD (allocated to the Sleeper currently)
92044 - Dollands Moor

All bar 92032/044 have had the reliability mods (92006/020 are having these done as part of their reinstatement). All bar 92032/044 will also receive the Mk5 mods including Dellners, change to ETS voltage and driver-controls for doors/PA. 92038 and 92023 are the first locos having these mods done. 92032/044 will have overhauls/reliability mods in due course and may or may not receive the Mk5 mods depending on operational requirements.

92021/040 (Coquelles) and 92045/046 (Brush) remain stored.

92028 on 6S94 china clays yesterday:

92014 has returned to Garston to work 6L48/6X41 tonight (Fri) - 66707 returned to Tuebrook (and biomass workings) after bringing 6X41 to Garston first thing this morning. The switch to diesel was due to the Woodgrange Park OHLE issues.

For anyone interested, here is 92033 performing for my camera on a grizzly winter night about a week ago, on the northbound highlander:

Cheers BRX, thanks for sharing.

There's nothing better than the sound of a Class 92 accelerating away particularly on a wet rail which as you can hear needs some careful nurturing by the driver.
