Anyone know what's going on with the Calder Valley tonight ? Lots of delays, some looking to be quite large.

NRE says disruption until 21:00, but we've been stuck at Rochdale for over half an hour and its gone half past.

That's interesting. There have been a couple of trains come through the other way. Trains still going through to Blackburn
Apparently the fault area is somewhere between Bradford Interchange and Hebden Bridge. So in theory the Blackburns shouldn't be impeded (congestion aside).

Indeed, well we've been shunted into platform 2 at Rochdale to let the Blackburn service go by.

Hopefully its past Milner Royd junction so they can send us via Dewsbury.

Most recent (ongoing at time of me posting this-21:43) is apparently some sort of signalling problem causing trains to be unable to run around Halifax. Not sure precisely what or where the problem is.

Earlier this evening there was also a trespass incident at Sowerby Bridge just after 18:30.

Well, if they've got any sense, they'll send us as far as possible that way and divert if necessary.

Any diversion would have to be via Dewsbury and Wakefield Kirkgate as the Huddersfield line is still closed for Christmas engineering works.

Think line via Dewsbury was closed, so would be via Brighouse you were thinking of??

Well going into platform 2 at Rochdale was certainly a blast from the past if nothing else
It's not rare, sometimes used for terminators when Rochdale – MCV is closed for engineering works
