Northern reporting it as
a) signalling fault
and/or
b) failure of electricity supply
Apparently the fault area is somewhere between Bradford Interchange and Hebden Bridge. So in theory the Blackburns shouldn't be impeded (congestion aside). That's interesting. There have been a couple of trains come through the other way. Trains still going through to Blackburn

Most recent (ongoing at time of me posting this-21:43) is apparently some sort of signalling problem causing trains to be unable to run around Halifax. Not sure precisely what or where the problem is.
Earlier this evening there was also a trespass incident at Sowerby Bridge just after 18:30.
Supposedly normal working declared at 22:00.
Good luck Yorksrob!
Well going into platform 2 at Rochdale was certainly a blast from the past if nothing else![]()
I don't think I've done that before. There again, I've very rarely set foot on trains over the last few years.
Any diversion would have to be via Dewsbury and Wakefield Kirkgate as the Huddersfield line is still closed for Christmas engineering works.
Think line via Dewsbury was closed, so would be via Brighouse you were thinking of??Any diversion would have to be via Dewsbury and Wakefield Kirkgate as the Huddersfield line is still closed for Christmas engineering works.
It's not rare, sometimes used for terminators when Rochdale – MCV is closed for engineering worksWell going into platform 2 at Rochdale was certainly a blast from the past if nothing else![]()
