Just wondering if there is a list of the busiest train stations by the number of train movements as opposed to the ORR list of the busiest train stations by passengers?

Guessing Clapham would be top, but how about the rest?

Don't believe there's one formally published but NR could find out if they wanted to.

Clapham almost certainly would be top if you are including only calls, not passes. It may even still be top then. Would imagine Waterloo, Birmingham New Street, and Leeds would also be high up there, with other usual suspects not far behind.

It is a shame, I guess I could do my own statistical analysis by using the Realtime train website.

London Bridge has to be up there, it has almost as many trains as Clapham

Stratford and Finsbury Park are more examples of busy stations by train movements (but not the busiest).

Yes, I did a little experiment and found that London Bridge has well over 100 train movements in an hour slot between 7 and 8 am.

Would ECS, freight and other movements be counted as well?
I would personally count those as well.

Hadn't thought about Finsbury Park, good shout.

Since the Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth and 2 different DLR branches are all on the surface, I suspect Stratford is the busiest in the country. I don't think even St Pancras and Kings Cross combined as one station would match it, unless you included all the buried lines as well.
