I guess the drivers are actually out driving trains and not posting on a forum 24/7.

That is unless they get in-cab Internet access, while quaffing champagne and smoking big cigars...

I don't think so! Surely you meant you HOPED to touch a nerve......

Lack of drivers comments here suggest your pathetic comments are just being laughed at.

Next........

Suggests to me that the drivers are taking themselves far too seriously.

Trust me, laughing is the last thing that FCC Thameslink passengers are doing at the moment, try reading the messageboard on www.firstcrapitalconnect.co.uk.

From reading comments by drivers and other rail staff on here, it seems that most passengers are seen as an inconvenience who prevent you from running the railway. In particular commuters appear to warrant a particular level of contempt and are painted as middle-class whingers.

Perhaps the passengers who are regularly made to wait in the cold for over an hour with no idea when the next train will arrive and whether it will be mechanically capable of tottering to its intended destination are entitled to voice their frustration.

Its the attitude "we can't do that because its always been done like this before" is a recipe for industrial extinction. Does anyone remember what a Coal Miner looked like? Well the same political nutters who destroyed the UK mining industry are about to get back into power.

I'd mind the gap if I were you.

Perhaps a representative of the drivers would like to explain when the normal timetable on FCC will be reinstated.

Perhaps you would like to address your concerns to FCC directly rather than an internet forum. Its up to the planners and the higher order of FCC to plan the service....not the drivers, station staff or cleaners:roll:

The issue of working rostered hours was put forward as not being industrial action, I say if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it probably isn't a goose.

I wont bother qualifying that with a serious answer as we will just go round in circles.

On the issue of bad weather, there has been no significant snow for three days now and yet FCC is still happy to provide a pathetic service. Let's see how good the Radlett, Elstree and Mill Hill passengers are at train surfing tomorrow morning because they sure won't be able to get inside the trains!

Again you should direct your issues to FCC and NOT the operational staff that actually allow what limited service there is to run.
