They're on all roads, including both ups, so yes.

How does all this pan out as regards a date for electric trains between Preston and Manchester? Does anyone have any idea?

At an IET lecture at Preston on 07th February given by the senior engineer on the Preston - Blackpool project, it was stated that it would be August 2018! It's at the May 2018 timetable change for Preston to BlackpoolWith apologies as I suspect this question is either stupid, answered already, public domain or simply imponderable.

That seems plausible. Perhaps we should go for the December timetable change for tidiness?
The really sad thing is we are about to wind down electrification so all these hard learned lessons will have been forgotten when we re-start.
