You never know, they might find a cheaper way to produce antimatter or something which (if stored correctly) could be very useful for fuel, medical reasons or disposal of waste.

It's probably safe to say, that was just scaremongering, that is what the internet does. Rumours start on the net, the news picks them up, thats the way it has been for the last 10 years now.
Well...If we could borrow 370006, sit ye in First, and have me take the controls on a nice "steady" run (By my reckoning) between Euston and Glasgow, I'm sure we could do something about that quite easily...I'm still here unfortunatly!
I don't really subscribe to doomsday theories at all, but I generally say "Don't knock it until the date has passed".like that 2012 doomsday rubbish
