Today I used one of my "free" days on the KWVR to enjoy a few runs behind 37075. I then finished off with a short hop behind Standard 4 75078.

60103 was on display in Haworth yard.

It is the Haworth 1940s weekend, so the railway was very busy, including plenty of folk in period outfits. Also a flypast from a pair of (I think) Spitfires.

I once attempted to travel on that line. I travelled out to Barking on a bank holiday Monday, only to discover that the line was shut.

Still on my "to do" list 34 years later!

I first did it in the 70s and also got stuck on a DMU as I couldn't operate the door open latch on the inside (I was very young, obviously)…Missed my stop and Got off at Leytonstone High Road I had got on at South Tottenham…Crossed over to the other side to get back to Leyton Midland.While I was there I was watching Leytonstone playing a football match on the Saturday afternoon.I remember it being dark as well somewhere after 4pm.
I remember it being called the Barking - Kentish town line.
