At the height of the Sprinter shortages I was deckchairing afterwork outside Bolton Station to see if anything of NB red pen interest produced and was rewarded with Crewes 47366 'The Institute of Civil Engineers' on 1M26 PM Nottingham-Blackpool North.
So did a quick leap to Chorley on a DMU to pick it up on the return working.
Whilst at Chorley 47236 passed through on 1M12(Harwich PQ to Blackpool)

Two years ago today I caught a Class 331 from Heaton Chapel to Manchester for a friend's wedding. Not sure what I caught home as it was raining and I just wanted to get home. Later that day, I caught another 331 to Manchester Piccadilly then a tram to Clayton for the evening do.

Might sound a bit mundane compare to the preserved units (I never got to see 4732+2090, in fact I remember I was away on this specific date so wouldn't have had the opportunity) but it's interesting information about what EMU classes worked what services back in the day.
