Aylesbury electrification - how would this happen?

I wish that was the case! Peak services are formed of either 3 or 4 carriages, which is the same as off peak, with some even being 2! 6 Carriages can't happen unless some are locked out, and there's only 2 5 cars booked, one early morning and one late night.
I'm very surprised to hear that. It certainly wasn't always the case. In fact, there's a very recent video uploaded to YouTube from Aylesbury Vale Parkway to Marylebone, arriving there at about 18.30 hours which shows 5 coach trains on that section. (I don't have the link immediately to hand but the video will be easy to locate)

Either way, my point remains valid. If Chiltern began running a service between Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, possibly continuing further, they would formulate contingency plans for coping with refugees from the WCML. I'm sure the DfT would insist on it!
