Avanti not showing all fare options?

My understanding was that Avanti can only have a say about the time restrictions relating to usage of tickets priced by themselves, not other TOCs.

Surely WMT just do their own thing?

Yes, that's correct. But what I'm saying is if you hold an Any Permitted ticket, that "easement" applies to any TOC you use.

Or, in other words, there might now be circumstances where it's cheaper to use an Any Permitted ticket (perhaps even for a longer flow than the journey you actually intend to undertake) than a WMT only ticket.

I think CHESHIRECAT is referring to flows to / from / via London Euston with restriction code 9I, for which all of Friday on the WCML is Off-Peak.
