Automatic Announcements at New Street with TOCs

I suppose I have heard far too many announcements! (Well that and the interest in the system because of its flexibility).If you listen carefully enough you can usually tell how the announcement is broken up by slight pauses, subtle changes in tone, etc.
The format of the announcements have changed slightly this week at New Street with Phil now saying:
- Platform alterations now have calling at ...
e.g "Attention Please. This is a platform alteration. The 00:00 xxx service to xxx will now depart from Platform XX. Calling at ... . Platform XX for 00:00 xxx service to xxx.
- Trolley Service announcements are now heard for some service ... I haven't heard them before at BHM.
" A trolley service of light refreshments and drinks is avaliable on this service"
Something which must be corrected and hasn't is for trains which terminate - all he says is "All change please" - surely the system should afterwards say where the train calls at!! - e.g. Platform XX for 00:00 xxx service to xxx. Calling at...
CrossCountry also sounds be a bit more deeper [or that could just be me - depends were you stand!!]

That is the standard platform alteration announcement except repeating the platform bit at the end.
You're correct in saying that trolley service announcements at BHM have previously been pretty much non-existant...
Surely if the train terminates and they want everyone off of it then they want to prepare it for its next service before allowing passengers to join it that is if it's even going anywhere else in service :-?
Regarding pronunciation of the same word at the same station sounding differently, try going to the Central concourse at London Victoria (the Southern bit) and walk around listening to the announcements - 'Southern' sounds different in different places depending on where you are in relation to the speaker.

Phil seems to be all confused at Birmingham New Street today - with CrossCountry services being announced as "Virgin Trains" Service to Bournemouth and so on...
But since the update the Phil has been better and now announces trains that are in service once terminated at New Street - if you get what I mean.

I've noticed that even our ATW services get announced at Bham NSt now, I never heard them before.
Oh & the bint who does the auto announcing at salop was updated for the change. Sounds ok with the "Lundon Midlund" bit.
Just wish they would get rid of the safety messages as they do your head in.
