Nice photo. Good to see another 67 livery, though it currently looks a little plain, almost photo shopped. Will it be given Arriva logos/decals etc? I think these will help break up the plainness of the blue.

Hmmm...Anyone got any spare BR arrows? Maybe increase the yellow around the cab area, bit of black around the windows and hey presto, a Large Logo Skip!

One thing ive always noticed though with the ATW WAG blue, is its simularity to BR Blue - Very Very close indeed - Noticed how close when 57316 Came into Eastleigh Works several winters ago and it was placed next to 73119 - The temptation to find any spare arrows came in my mind then too!

As for the picture itself, id say its a real phot - considering that the underframe has been painted too...Though im supprised at the choice of almost BR Light Grey for the roof - Considering the darker, and better at hiding the dirt colour as used on the 57/3s!

The ATW blue certainly does have that slightly greenish hue that BR blue had: In the same vein as fgwrichs' comment, stick a double arrow logo on the opposite cab to the number and it'd be like British Rail had never left!

The anoying thing is, i did have a picture of an almost side by side 57316 & 73119 Together - It's a pretty close colour match indeed! :)

Sadly, the photo is on one of my older cameras now non functioning very well cards!:-x But when i find it, ill post it up here!

I thought it was photoshopped when i 1st saw it. ATW had better start training their staff if they are going over to 67 & dvt operation in december. That should free up the class 175 which is currently used on WAG2

Wasn't aware they had got any dispensation to run the 67s quicker yet, either that or they are going to run a slower path.

It looks horrible.

Horrible? Are you quite mad? This is now locos are supposed to look, and indeed something close to how all locos looked for about 20 years. It's great!

You are having a giraffe? Drab, dull, boring. This sort of livery should have died with the 1970s.;)

Looks remarkably like Rail Blue. Looks rather good with the grey roof, although I don't suppose that'd be very practical.

** Actually someone in the comments suggested 'Laira blue anyone'; that's right, it does look rather like 50008, doesn't it.

How can you free up a 175 when it was detached from duty to cover the WAG, it will give the 175 back to what it was doing before WAG2.

It's not the 67 training that takes time and to be honest they are quite simple loco's it's the DVT's and Mk3's that take the time with the training as the trainees will need traction, handling and also the traction on the Mk 3's.

However it won't take too long to train drivers up as many of the Crewe drivers already sign 67's.

No, it looks like a plain blue 67, the same as all the other 67's but a different colour. Not only do they need painting they will also need conversions to be able to work with a DVT, there will be a possibility that these blue loco's may even bee seen on the Chilterns and also the silver loco's seen on the NW coast, I think that the locos will probably not even be branded for that sole reason.

Well yes, exactly: Freeing up a 175 from WAG duties in order to allow it to return to the diagram that it operated previously.

Unless I'm missing something here, why does this WAG2 require a DVT? After all, WAG1 uses a 57 at the head but nothing at the rear of the brake coach (normally).
